Visit us at the Rogersville Heritage Days in downtown Main Street where we will be in the Demonstration Yard in front of the Hawkins County Courthouse, with other local folk artists sharing our skills and knowledge.
Cori and the SK crew will be demonstrating cordage making (twisting plant fibers to create rope) and will have examples of plant fibers you can harvest here in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. Our cordage demonstrations are hands on & appropriate for ages 8 & up. Try your hand in making cordage of your own and learn about the history, culture, & many uses of handmade cordage.
The Herbal Kitchen is baaaaack!!! All ages are invited to come out & play with our Mini Herbal Apothecary. Brew some fairy tea, make a mermaid stew, or create a flower mandala to take home. Tag us with your Herbal Kitchen pictures on Instagram using #southernkokua #rogersvilleheritagedays2023 or @southernkokua.
Come & visit our vendor space and help support our small business! Spicebush is our Herb of the Month, so stop by and sample some Spicebush tea.
We will have some exciting new items for your home and garden. Don’t miss your chance to grab one-of-a-kind hand-crafted trays, herb & flower boxes, bird houses, vintage cedar hangers, and more.
We will be selling our popular herbal products which include our savory Za’atar and Appalachian Allspice that’s made with wildcrafted herbs & artisanal Appalachian Salt. We will offer our beautiful and fragrant Flower Power Grey Looseleaf Tea made with wildcrafted flowers, our Lavender Magnesium Oil Spray made from locally grown lavender, our Herbal Bug Spray, and more.
